Since 1945,
Auclair has been crafting high-performance, long-lasting gloves built to withstand the harshest winters. As a brand deeply rooted in Canadian winter culture, we have always valued quality, durability, and respect for the environments we operate in. Today, our commitment goes far beyond product performance. We are dedicated to building a more sustainable future through a holistic approach that spans design, manufacturing, transportation, packaging, and social impact.

Measurable progress on all fronts
In 2023, 28% of our collection incorporated sustainable materials such as recycled fabrics, veg-tan leather, or certified insulation. Our goal is to reach 75% by 2027—an ambitious target we aim to achieve through strong partnerships with our suppliers. Similarly, 16% of the leather we use already comes from Leather Working Group (LWG)-certified tanneries, and we are on track to reach 100% in the medium term. Additionally, 78% of our styles were carried over from one season to the next, promoting product continuity, repairability, and a reduction in textile waste.

Monitoring our carbon footprint
Our greenhouse gas emissions analysis shows that 91% of our footprint comes from Scope 3 sources—that is, raw materials, transportation, and distribution. To address this, we have significantly reduced our reliance on air freight, opting instead for sea freight. We've also implemented tangible actions such as installing an electric vehicle charging station at our headquarters and introducing a remote work policy to reduce daily commuting. Our goal: cut emissions related to air transport by 75%.
